I'm off tomorrow! I'm still doing that last-minute packing which seems unavoidable, but most of my stuff is all packed into two backpacks. All I have to do is finish fiddling with my electronics and odds-and-ends... as well as continue dramatic readings of Poe's poetry with interpretive dances in the background with my siblings until we all pass out from delirious exhaustion.
Tomorrow... a drive to Albany, a plane to Philadelphia, and the adventure begins :-)

Nan! Congratulations on making it to Zambia! I hope everything is going well and you're learning lots. What job did you choose? I've been seriously considering PC for the last few years, though I need to wait to see how a few certain things in my life are going to fall before I can make the commitment.
Anyways, you were the best dendro TA an stumpie could ask for, and I know you're going to do great things in Zambia. Please keep us posted when you get the chance!
